Advent markets at Tegernsee

The lights of the three markets are romantically reflected in Lake Tegernsee as you travel from market to market by shuttle boat or bus. The Bad Wiessee Lake Advent, the Rottach Lake Advent, and the Tegernsee Christmas Castle Market invite you to stroll and feast. The scent of mulled wine, raclette, and hot chestnuts fills the air.

On the four Advent weekends, romantic Advent markets open directly on the lakeshore in Bad Wiessee, Rottach-Egern, and Tegernsee. There, you'll find delicacies from local restaurants, high-quality regional handicrafts, and an atmospheric Alpine music program. Romantic fire pits invite you to warm up and linger.

Lake Advent Bad Wiessee

Along the lakeside promenade, decorated huts with local handicrafts and regional delicacies invite you to stroll. There's a small, historic carousel for the little ones. The annual attraction is the appearance of the Perchten (Perchten) on December 15th. Wearing masks and shaggy costumes, they roar noisily through the market – a magnificent spectacle, only available during Lake Advent in Bad Wiessee. On Saturday, December 14.12th, starting at 18 p.m., it's "Rock meets Xmas" with the band Groundlift.

Tegernsee Castle Market

Against the romantic backdrop of Tegernsee Castle, the Christmassy hut village offers regional handicrafts and fragrant grilled delicacies. Local brass bands and a warming fire create a contemplative atmosphere. On Advent Saturdays, enjoy a literary Christmas walk with Tegernsee local guides, and in the evening, enjoy a Christmas play by the Tegernsee Volkstheater, "And this on Christmas Eve..."

Rottacher Advent - Hut magic directly on the lake

Against the romantic lake and mountain backdrop, it sparkles stylishly, while the scent of roasted sausages and chestnuts fills the air. Stroll from stall to stall, warm yourself with a mug of mulled wine, and sample regional delicacies. From Christmas tree bauble carvers to candle makers, you'll experience regional handicrafts. Alphorn players and a fire create a contemplative atmosphere. For the kids, there's a "Christmas crafts and face painting" session and a children's train at the Warmbad baths, just a few minutes' walk away.
